Our Last Christmas

Hi readers. I hope you had a good yuletide. The Cassons spent theirs with friends which all kicked off at about 7:30 with the kids running down the stairs in excitement. This was proceeded by lots of paper ripping and wow-wees as the kids realised what they had got from Santa. Two hours later all gifts had been opened and the children settled down to play with them, whilst the adults settled down to recover. Christmas dinner in our friends’ house was a late affair so it gave us time to head on out to visit friends and family. By mid-afternoon we were back at our friends’ abode to help prepare the dinner. At 6pm it was being served, and by 7pm it was all finished. Friends and family continued to come and go as the night progressed but by 10:30pm the last visitors had returned from whence they came and our last English Christmas, for a while, was coming to an end. All-in-all it was a great day and we owe a big thank you to our friends, the Purtons, for letting us stay with them whilst we prepare for Australia. So there you have it, our last Xmas in England. I hope yours was good and let me finish this entry by wishing all readers a Happy New Year. Bye.
